Our Engineers certainly don't excel
with their "plumbing. Constructed
what looked like a tap (no, not an
atofnic one) outside the Chem, building
last weelc, by driving into the
ground an unconnected pipe with taps
attached, and watched thirsty students
try in vain for water. They're
still wondering who removed it a few
hours later!

Happened to mention to the Editor
a jiersonal aversion to having the top
of "Semper" uncut. He referred me
to Major Pendennis, who used to
order his copy of the "Times,"
specially uncut, so that he could cut
it himself at breakfast with a silver
papeir knife. Students are more mundane
these days, and most that I've
noticed raggedly slit theirs,
