A VHS trade event, where guests can trade old school VHS tapes, will follow immediately afterthe screening.Prepare to shake, squeal, and squirm as you watch six short stories intersect with a main theme of found footage. Foundfootage, a genre of film that presents footage as discovered or left by dead or missing protagonists, has been popularizedin horror film culture by films such as The Blair Witch Project (1999), Paranormal Activity (2007), and Cloverfield (2008).In V/H/S, directors Adam Wingard, David Bruckner, Ti West, Glenn McQuaid, Joe Swanberg, and directing quarter RadioSilence craft a terrifying narrative where a group of misfits break into an abandoned house to retrieve a videotape, and findmore found footage than they bargained for.The Little’s Project 5 is an “all-encompassing” term for events in Theatre 5. We will strive to bring independent cinemato the theatre that would otherwise not be seen in the Rochester area. Films with limited or no distribution and seriesdevoted to the independent spirit will be showcased with unique monthly/ weekly series and special events. We will dorotating showings of these films and also “one-night-only” events. Project 5 will also embody the spirit of collaborationas we reach out to local colleges, art galleries, film festivals, and non-profits to foster programming that engages theRochester community at new levels.
