<strong>Neuro</strong> <strong>Partners</strong> <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Description</strong><strong>Education</strong> <strong>Support</strong> <strong>Worker</strong><strong>Education</strong> <strong>Support</strong> <strong>Worker</strong>s provide a flexible support service to students accessingFurther or Higher <strong>Education</strong> with acquired brain injury, neurological based conditions,mental health barriers, physical disabilities and sensory impairment in order to sustainthem on their chosen course.The <strong>Education</strong> <strong>Support</strong> <strong>Worker</strong> role is essential in delivering support provision, assumingthe professional based relationship that best suits the needs of the Service User indelivering the rehabilitation & support based commission. This can include personalsupport assistance, note-taking, proof reading, transcribing, research assistance, studybuddy, library support, orientation and mentoring.1. Working closely with students and Disability Services building rapport & trust thatis needed to deliver the plan of intervention or Individual Learning Plan (ILP),being consistent at all times.2. Have an open minded approach to the student and be flexible, adaptive andconsiderate at all times to the needs of the student.3. Be respectful to the student and the environments which you are allocated to.4. As required by an intervention plan or ILP and in accordance with the needs of thestudent, work in a manner to promote and deliver:i. Highest quality support provisionii.iii.Highest quality Rehabilitation ProvisionHighest quality <strong>Education</strong>al Provision5. To maintain the confidentiality of students, ensuring that no information is passedto any individual outside of the Company, whilst maintaining the flow of open andaccurate information to those within the Company working with the student or inyour Line Management. Work as part of a supportive team for the benefit of thestudent, their families, the stakeholders and the Company.7. Work closely with other members of the <strong>Neuro</strong> <strong>Partners</strong> Team to implement tasksidentified as part of a planned programme of intervention and as allocated to you.8. Liaise appropriately about relevant improvement or deterioration and keepdetailed and accurate written Service User records.9. Maintain the required administration systems and work within the agreed Policiesand Procedures.10. Liaise effectively with other agencies involved with the Service User, contributingto and arranging reviews as needed.11. To work as a Key <strong>Worker</strong> for Service Users if allocated to do so.12. Work within a range of different settings including the Service User’s/studentsown community or their employment/education setting, this being your designatedplace of work for this Service User/student.13. To positively participate in training, development and supervisions.14. Preserve and act in a manner that promotes the company’s high qualityreputation and integrity.15.
