Prof. M. MARSALLI<br />

(Normal, Illinois, U.S.A.) Dates: May/June 1996. Prof. Marsalli is a specialist in functional analysis,<br />

who will be continuing an active research collaboration with Dr. West.<br />

Prof. M.E. MAYS<br />

(Morgantown, W. Virginia, U.S.A.) Dates: Jan.\\/Feb.\\ 1996. Prof. Mays is a <strong>for</strong>mer visitor to the<br />

<strong>Centre</strong> with expert interests in number theory <strong>and</strong> combinatorics, who has collaborated repeatedly<br />

with <strong>Centre</strong> members such as Profs. A. <strong>Knopfmacher</strong> <strong>and</strong> J.N. Ridley.<br />

Prof. R. MENNICKEN<br />

(Regensburg, Germany) Dates: March 1996. Prof. Mennicken is a leading authority on differential<br />

operators, who has visited the <strong>Centre</strong> previously, <strong>and</strong> collaborates frequently with Prof. Faierman<br />

<strong>and</strong> Dr. M\\"oller, <strong>and</strong> also with other visitors.<br />

Dr. N.M. TEMME<br />

(Amsterdam, Netherl<strong>and</strong>s) Dates: April/May 1996. Dr. Temme is a very prolific researcher on<br />

functions <strong>and</strong> approximation theory, who has been collaborating recently with Prof. Driver in<br />

particular.<br />

Prof. R. WARLIMONT<br />

(Regensburg, Germany) Dates: March 1996. Prof. Warlimont continued his regular visits to the<br />

<strong>Centre</strong> this year. As usual he interacted on problems of analytic number theory <strong>and</strong> combinatorics<br />

with Profs. A. <strong>and</strong> J. <strong>Knopfmacher</strong>.<br />

At least 2 more visitors to the <strong>Centre</strong> appeared to be virtually certain by April 1996.:<br />

Prof. W.--B. ZHANG<br />

(Urbana, Illinois, U.S.A.) Dates: 15 May to 15 July 1996. Prof. Zhang is an active researcher in<br />

analytic number theory, who is planning to collaborate particularly with Prof. J. <strong>Knopfmacher</strong>.<br />

Prof. D. HENSLEY<br />

(College Station, Texas, U.S.A.) Dates: 23 Nov.\\ 1996 - 11 Jan.\\ 1997. Prof. Hensley is a very<br />

talented number--theorist who will interact particularly with Profs. A. <strong>and</strong> J. <strong>Knopfmacher</strong>.<br />
