vi) The Scheme “Improvement <strong>of</strong> SC/ST Basti” was revised during the year 2005-06. Revised <strong>sc</strong>heme is being implemented w.e.f. September 2005. The bastiwhich have a population <strong>of</strong> 33% or more <strong>of</strong> SCs and STs as per the censusreport 2001 will be considered as SC/ST basties. Area/Basti where suchimprovement work is proposed/undertaken may be either on private land, LalDora/extended Lal Dora or Govt. land allotted under 20 point programme withat least 60-70% built up area No improvement shall berecommended/extended in any unauthorized SC/ST Basti on public or Govt.land.vii)The Scheme interest free loan to provide technical education to SC/ST/OBCstudents has been revised.
