Seminar (PDS).<br />

IPAF PDS<br />

IPAF is holding its annual<br />

Professional Development Seminar<br />

at <strong>Vertikal</strong> Days. The event is open<br />

to all IPAF approved trainers and<br />

training centres and is an essential<br />

update for all staff conducting IPAF<br />

training courses.<br />

The attendees at this years PDS<br />

will join <strong>Vertikal</strong> Days visitors and<br />

exhibitors for lunch and the<br />

seminar will finish slightly earlier<br />

than in previous years in order<br />

to allow attendees an opportunity<br />

to walk around the numerous<br />

stands.<br />

This year's agenda starts at 9:00<br />

with registration from 8:30 and<br />

includes:<br />

• New IPAF instructor criteria<br />

• Management of thorough<br />

examinations<br />

• New IPAF demonstrator's course<br />

• Updates on other IPAF<br />

training issues.<br />

Registration for the PDS includes a<br />

free ticket/badge for <strong>Vertikal</strong> Days.<br />

The ALLMI<br />

Operators Forum<br />

ALLMI is holding its fifth Operators<br />

Forum general meeting at <strong>Vertikal</strong><br />

Days. This particular meeting to be<br />

held on the 19th September, will<br />

include a presentation and update<br />

from the Health & Safety Executive.<br />

Membership of the ALLMI Operators<br />

Forum is open to all fleet owners of<br />

loader cranes and provides a growing<br />

c&a<br />

number of membership benefits.<br />

One key aspect of membership is<br />

the regular Forum meetings which<br />

provide members with a wide variety<br />

of useful help and information as well<br />

as allowing them to ask questions<br />

and influence the industry as a whole.<br />

The CPA Crane Interest<br />

Group open meeting<br />

The CPA holds its Open meeting of<br />

the mobile crane interest group<br />

every September. This year the<br />

event will be held at Haydock to<br />

coincide with <strong>Vertikal</strong> Days. The<br />

meetings are always well attended<br />

and often include some open and<br />

frank debate and discussion.<br />

• Work at Height Best Practise<br />

Guide<br />

• London Emission Guide<br />

• CPCS Appointed Person/Crane<br />

Supervisor<br />

• ESDAL (Crane Routing) Update<br />

ALLMI annual product update<br />

<strong>Vertikal</strong> Days will also see the first<br />

ALLMI annual product update which<br />

is intended to bring instructors<br />

up to speed on new technology<br />

and product changes by the<br />

manufacturers.<br />

The meeting will include practical<br />

hands-on sessions with some of<br />

the latest loader cranes.<br />
