Over the past six years, the club has donated $1,400 to WCFB but never more than $500 at one time. When Diane Orange became Presidentin 2009, she wanted to do something exceptional to highlight the club’s 50 th year in existence in 2011. Shehad heard stories of how children that get school breakfast and lunches go hungry in the summer and only haveone meal, since there is no school. This made her heart ache for these children and families, and she wanted todo something to help in a profound way. In 2010, she thought doing a cookbook was a way to make more money and memorialize many of theirmembers and their favorite recipes. The members sold the cookbook with over 400 recipes for $10 and made $2,000 which they donated to WCFB and will help benefit Our Ladyof Grace Food Pantry in Greensburg with its trucking fee for the next two years.7
