He has been deployed with thetask force to New Orleans and willassume his duties in Nacogdoches<strong>October</strong> 1, <strong>2005</strong>. Cy-Fair VFD Honor GuardThe Cy-Fair VFD has organized anHonor Guard in their department. Forthose considering forming your ownHonor Guard, you can contact Lt. John has been a member ofthe staff of the fire commission fornearly 13 years. John intends to continuepracticing law and remain active as amember of the Seguin Volunteer <strong>Fire</strong>Department and the <strong>State</strong> <strong>Fire</strong>men’s and<strong>Fire</strong> Marshals’ Association. The agencyhosted a retirement party for John onAugust 30.NVFC Names Hlavaty<strong>Fire</strong>fighter of the YearThe National Volunteer <strong>Fire</strong> Councilhas announced it’s <strong>Fire</strong>fighter of theYear Award recipient and it is ourvery own PATRICK HLAVATY! Thisprestigious award is given each yearby the NVFC from nominationsreceived from their member states andassociations. We are very proud to havean SFFMA member receive this award.The Award will be presented toPatrick on <strong>October</strong> 22, at the NVFCBanquet at the San Luis in Galveston, atthe close of their Annual Meeting.
