TEEX Trains Texas’sEmergency ServicesTEEX is the official state training agency for Texas’s fire services; every year we trainemergency services personnel from every county in Texas. Some of our trainingincludes:Texas <strong>Fire</strong> Officer ProgramOur newest training program is available to all Texas fire service personnel tuitionfree.Training includes <strong>Fire</strong> Officer I and II certification, or <strong>Fire</strong> Officer III and IV certification,and culminates with incident command training using the PhoenixCommand Training Center.Texas Department of Transportation EMS Grant ProgramsTEEX and TxDOT offer grant-funded training to EMS agencies throughout rural andfrontier Texas. Educational programs designed to improve the effectiveness andefficiency of jurisdictional response to highway based incidents are the focus of thisprogram.EMS Leadership AcademyTEEX offers, at no direct charge, a three-tiered EMS training program that addressesbasic supervisory skills, EMS system management, and executive leadership.Extension/Area/Weekend SchoolsTexas appropriations allow TEEX to provide more than 90,000 hours of training eachyear at no charge to fire departments or individual students.
