Living Program participants. Through Huck
House’s partnership with the YMCA, our teens had
access to personal trainers and various fitness opportunities,
including a weekly cardiovascular class.
Primary Care Physicians
Transition-age youth in the program received
assistance with finding primary care physicians
and scheduling and keeping appointments. Using
PCPs helped reduce dependence on emergency
room care and improved the quality of healthcare
the teens received.
Parenting Skills
Many transition-age youth have their own young
children. This year, the program once again offered
a parenting track to emphasize and teach
essential parenting skills for raising and enjoying
children.
