The average shoreline erosion ratecalculated by TIR surveys between2004 and 2011 was 2.15 m per year. This is a 2.4 fold increase. Up to 18 m <strong>of</strong> shoreline lost in someareas as a result <strong>of</strong> Dec. 21 st , 2010storm surge.
