The questions are stated as presented to SBCCD. SBCCDresponses are in italics:QUESTION:RESPONSE:Is it possible to obtain a writable file for our response to <strong>RFP</strong>?SBCCD will not be providing a writable file of the response forms.QUESTION:RESPONSE:Will district consider and extension to the current due date?SBCCD will not be extending the Proposal Due Date.QUESTION:RESPONSE:Section 1.20 Final Contract, clarification requested for item D. The <strong>RFP</strong> asoriginally released, can you please confirm if <strong>RFP</strong> is intended to be part ofthe actual contract language?The <strong>RFP</strong> document will not be a part of the contract language; however,the <strong>RFP</strong> document will be considered an official document of the contractwithin the precedence established in Section 1.20.1 of 3

What isbeing negotiated? Is it the language of the agreement we will benegotiating?CONTRACTOR will propose and negotiate with SBCCD the terms of thecontract, if necessary. The scope of terms to be negotiated is dependent onthe proposals received. CONTRACTOR should refer to Section 3.0 foradditional clarifications.QUESTION:RESPONSE:Section 4.2 Scope of Work, C. Direct Delivery Coolers, c. volumeestimates 2700 cases tea and fruit juices, this figure is higher than what wesee in like business, can you elaborate which package/brands are drivingthis volume? i.e. 1ltr TeaA significant percentage of this volume consists of sales of three specificproducts at the SBVC Cafeteria:Product Unit Volume CasesLipton Brisk Fruit 1ltr 572Lipton Brisk 1ltr 757Ocean Spray 15.2oz 410QUESTION:RESPONSE:Section 4.2 Scope of Work, D. Fountain Dispensing Units – I do not seethe number of units provided per location, can you please define howmany units are in place and if they are 6 or 8 valve units?A six (6) valve unit is located in the SBVC Sun Room, an eight (8) valveunit is located in the SBVC Cafeteria, and an eight (8) valve unit islocated in the CHC Cafeteria.QUESTION:RESPONSE:Section 4.3 Consideration and Commissions, can you provide your currentvend price for 20oz CSD, 20oz Water, 20oz Gatorade, 16oz energy?The full-service vending machine prices for beverages are as follows:20oz CSD 20oz Water 20oz Isotonic 16oz Energy1.50 1.50 1.75 2.50QUESTION:I did not see a pre-Bid mtg. planned for this <strong>RFP</strong>, will the district behosting a pre-bid mtg. prior to proposal submissions? SBCCD has provided amap of all full-service vending machine locations for both SBVC andCHC. Additionally, both colleges, including the cafeterias and bookstores,are open to the public during normal business hours if CONTRACTORdesires to view the facilities.QUESTION:RESPONSE:Will there be an opportunity to present our proposal for beverage servicesto district?SBCCD has tentatively scheduled interviews of selected proposers onJanuary 7, <strong>2<strong>01</strong>3</strong>. An interview will provide an opportunity for the selectedproposers to provide a focused presentation of their proposal.QUESTION:RESPONSE:Would you kindly confirm if 16oz energy drinks are available in FullService Vending? If so what is the case volume, I do not see volumereported for this package under section 4.2 Scope, item c.SBCCD has identified an error in Section 4.2.c.ii. CONTRACTOR shallalso determine and outline retail cost of products with annual priceinflations based on 40 cases of energy drinks sold at CHC. Only CHC hasenergy drinks available in full service vending machines.QUESTION:RESPONSE:On section 1.5 Acknowledgement of Indemnification and InsuranceRequirements – Will we need to have the General Liability informationsubmitted into the proposal?CONTRACTOR does not need to submit General Liability informationwith the proposal. CONTRACTOR shall provide appropriate proof ofinsurance prior to SBCCD awarding the contract.QUESTION:RESPONSE:On section 4.2 Scope of Work section D – Will the contractor need tosupply Ice Makers for the fountain machines?CONTRACTOR shall provide one of two options: 1) an ice maker to bemounted on top of the proposed fountain machines, or 2) an adapter toallow an existing customer-owned ice maker to be mounted on top of theproposed fountain machines. Only CHC Cafeteria has a customer-ownedice maker.END OF DOCUMENT3 of 3
