Jim Bethel, who teaches civil engineering at Purdue University, is the son of theCollege’s late dean, James Bethel, Sr. The memorial endowment honors the strong research legacy instilledand nurtured by Dean Bethel and, through its unrestricted nature, wisely allows for flexibility and futurechange. The gift joins other generous gifts made by the Bethel family, including the Bethel ScholarshipFund and the Bethel Endowment for Streamside Studies.
