Their small sizeenables the manufacturers to develop swiftly theirown small-size <strong>Gap</strong>-<strong>Filler</strong>/Repeater product range,that can meet the space constraints of small transmissionstation installation.High performance digital processingThe GFX-0300 engines can retransmit either on thesame frequency (<strong>Gap</strong>-<strong>Filler</strong> mode), or on a differentchannel (Transposer mode). When used in the <strong>Gap</strong>-<strong>Filler</strong> mode, they exhibit a low transfer delay andenables Single Frequency Network coverage to beexpanded efficiently. All signal processing is donedigitally at an intermediate frequency level. Anintegrated digital echo cancellation algorithm enhancesthe overall system stability and performances. Anadditional benefit is the embedded digital shapingfilter which enhances performance to give higherfrequency selectivity (i.e. higher robustness againstadjacent channel interference). Simple to use linearand non-linear pre-correction circuits are incorporatedto compensate for output filter and power amplifiercharacteristics.Emergent DTV standardsThe GFX-0300 takes benefit from TEAMCAST’sstrategy for rapid module development as newstandards and specifications evolve. Initially developedfor <strong>DVB</strong>-T and <strong>DVB</strong>-H, the GFX-0300 productrange now includes new versions for ATSC, FLO TM ,DTMB (for the Chinese market), CMMB and ISDB-T.A specific model is also available for DAB andT-DMB radio network applications.
