The sinogram as shown inthis figure is another method. A normal sinogram shows smooth and continuouscurves (sinusoids) of activity. Projecting all activity in one projection image onthe X-axis creates this image. Owing to the rotating motion of the gammacamera, the location of projected counts at each stop moves in a sinusoid pattern.In this image the brightest activity are counts from the heart. As can be seen thereare no breaks in the sinusoid pattern, indicating no patient motion. On thebottom the X and Y offsets are shown. In the absence of significant motion onlyminor corrections are made.
