So it's no wonder that more than 70% of our talentedworkforce is based within Global Industrial Operations - the essential business unit that manufactures andmanages the entire vaccine supply process, from customer order to product dispatch on a global scale.As the name suggests, it operates in a multi-national context across 15 sites around the world, workingclosely in tandem with colleagues from a variety of disciplines and professions.The department itself is divided into operating units that focus on various aspects of the manufacturing andsupply process. These include Supply Chain Management, Global Quality Assurance, Technical Services,and Industrialisation, which oversees the transfer of production from R&D levels to a commercial scale.Applicants should have a scientific or engineering university degree, along with some pharma or bio-pharmaindustry experience. In return, you'll have the opportunity to use your strong organisational skills in achallenging and complex project-driven environment.Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:-Insure a long term vision on the <strong>CMO</strong> network expansion over 5 years to support the growth andinternationalization of GSK Bio-Manages suppliers relationship to meet GSK Bio requirements : assurance of supply, quality,regulatory, service, costs.-Lead the procurement and sourcing related to the <strong>CMO</strong> portfolioContribute to build and implement a global and strategic sourcing plan including 5 years vision.-Buid and implement strategic source plan for specific categories (ex : syringe filling), by employing thesourcing group management process . Ensure the approval of this long term vision by key stakeholders.-Implement and drive the SRM process in order to create value from continuous improvement program-Demonstrate abroad market knowledge,-Develop business model helping the decision process-Key support / Business Partner for External Manufacturing Director-Understand Global GSK Bio business in order to develop interface to create synergies.


Accountability:-Respect of the Make or Buy process to challenge needs-Ensure that strategies developed are implemented to meet global business targets in supply security andrisk management, best service to customers, compliance, and cost effectiveness.-Introduce procurement in the earliest stage of <strong>CMO</strong> request in order to bring significant added value byleveraging market opportunities and considering all business impact-Develop strong interface with External Manufacturing Organization, Quality, Product transfer teams-Establish, develop and manage supplier’s performance by influencing key suppliers executives.-Organize regular business review meeting with supplier senior management for setting goals andobjectives and aligning both supplier and GSK resources to obtain the desired results-Collaborate with GMS to leverage the <strong>CMO</strong> network-Interact with other procurement stream to anticipate market evolutions-Develop Market knowledge, participate to international exhibition, sound & evaluate low cost countriesand promote innovation and ideas coming from supplier base to challenge internal position to reduce -cost and timing-Develop and maintain a <strong>CMO</strong> data base to capture market knowledge and capitalize on cost benchmarkfor all <strong>CMO</strong>-Reduce complexity & cost , increase efficiency by employing operational excellence where/whenappropriated-Ensure Supplier Compliance with GSK policy such Anti bribery anti corruption policyComplexity:-Manage a spent of 60 mio €-Work in a changing/evolving environment, with proven experience of influencing/adapting userbehaviors; leveraging past experience/industry knowledge to continuously motivate change outside areaof direct responsibility-Position procurement up-stream in all manufacturing partnership in order to support projects from theirinitiation (business needs identification) to the operation phases-High degree of complexity driven by diversity of contact trough all sites and organization (quality,manufacturing, finance,logistic, legal,…)-Finance cost benchmark, risk analysis, balance sheet analysis- Legal complexity: large range of contracts and countries to coverSpecialized Knowledge:-Master in Business or similar with a scientific degree. Life sciences background a plus-About 8-10 years International Operational Procurement experience across multiple spends categories,with 5 years in <strong>CMO</strong> activities-Must have an excellent understanding about <strong>CMO</strong> business-Can work with limited supervision-Good project management skills-Experience in change development, implementation and management-Result oriented, and able to develop and present strong arguments to convince of the need for change-Excellent negotiation skill-Good People Management, both downward and upward-Flexible thinking-Good English communication skills both written and spoken.Our Offer:At GSK we provide a supportive working environment, and a range of development challenges andopportunities.
