NEBB’s Cleanroom Performance Testing Certified Professional Seminar and ExamCleanroom fundamentals examination:The NEBB CPT discipline is similar to all of the other NEBB disciplines in that there are written andpractical examinations that must be successfully completed in order to attain certification as a CertifiedTechnician and Certified Professional. These written and practical examinations test the knowledge,engineering application and field testing skills required to properly test the performance of today’scleanrooms. In preparation for the upcoming exam and seminar, the NEBB Cleanroom Committeewants to make sure everyone comes prepared for the exam. The exam will consist of two parts.A two hour general knowledge examThe general knowledge exam is multiple choice formatThere are several questions that require calculationsThe test is intended to cover the following:Establishing test criteria based on a given scopeKnowledge of standardsSOP RequirementsSafety RequirementsPrimary TestsSecondary TestsA report review examThe report review exam should take four hours, however we will allow test candidates up to anadditional hour if necessary.The test focuses on the following:Verification that all testing conforms to the SOP providedConfirming the validity of data providedIdentification of errorsConformance to industry standards referenced in the SOP providedOptional: Technician HEPA Leak TestNEBB will offer practical exams for the NEBB Cleanroom Certified Technician qualification onThursday, October 24 by paying the required registration fee by October 7, 2013. This exam is requiredfor achieving NEBB-Certified Technician status.Candidates taking the optional hands-on test will be tested using their choice of the Photometer or theParticle Counter Leak Test Method. You are required to bring your own calibrated Photometer orParticle Counter and Diluter that you are familiar with so as not to hinder your chances with passing thistest if you intend on taking the practical exam.4

Standards will not be provided atthe seminar and sharing between candidates will not be allowed, bring anything you deem necessaryfor use during these tests including calculators and/or laptop computer and pens and pencils.Recommended reference material:ISO14644-1 ISO 14644-2 ISO 14644-3IEST RP- CC-001.5IEST RP- CC-002.3IEST RP- CC-006.3IEST RP- CC-013.2IEST RP- CC-034.3Annex 1 of the EU Guideline NEBB Procedural Standards for Certified Testing of Cleanrooms - 2009The use of laptop computers will be allowed during the test, however no internet or e-mail access will bepermitted.Candidates, and their company sponsors, will be required to sign a “Hold Harmless” statementindemnifying NEBB, NEBB Employees, Seminar Instructors and the NEBB Training & EducationalCenter, of any and all losses associated with the seminar attendance of the individual.Testing schedule:All tests are optional for the seminar attendees and are NOT included in the cost of the Basic seminar.Additionally, NEBB will offer all examinations to any candidate who wishes to be tested but does notwant to attend the seminar. This individualized testing is available to any candidate during the testingsession of the seminar. You must contact Elana Noel at the NEBB National Office and make thenecessary arrangements prior to October 16, 2013 to schedule this testing.Certification requirements:The NEBB CPT discipline offers certification to firms and individuals.
