The torsion ofthe measuring segment is registrated by means of strain gages, convertedinto electrical voltage signals, and then transmitted contactlesslyvia modulated infrared light to the stator. The master frequencyis 60 kHz and the span is ±20 kHz for ± rated torque.Temperature related offset shifts are minimized by an active temperaturecompensation. A special configured magnetic sensor providestwo 90 degree phase shifted speed signals with 1024 ppr. Maximumfrequency is 250 kHz.
