ORDINANCE NO 12AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LATHROPAMENDING SECTION 10 24 030 OF THE LATHROP MUNICIPAL CODE TOADD ANO PARKING ZONE ON DOS REIS ROADWHEREAS residents and Lathrop High School users have requested DosReis Road be added to the City s designatedno parking areas in order to meet theneeds of the community and meet the intended and planned use of the street andfrontage andWHEREAS California Vehicle Code Section 22507 and Chapter 10 24 of theLathrop Municipal Code authorize the City Council to createno parking zones withinthe City of LathropNOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LATHROPDOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWSSection 1 Section 10 24 030 of the Lathrop Municipal Code is amended to addthe followingStreet Side LocationDos Reis Road Both Beig at Manthey Road and ProceedinqWesterly to the West End of Dos Reis RoadSection 2 This ordinance is not intended to and shall not be construed or giveneffect in a manner that imposes upon the city or any officer or employee thereof amandatory duty of care toward persons and property within or without the city soas to provide a basis of civil liability for damages except as otherwise imposed bylawSection 3 Severebilitv If any section subsequent subdivision paragraphsentence clause or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to beunconstitutional or otherwise invalid such a decision shall not affect the validity ofthe remaining portions of this Ordinance The City Council hereby declares that itwould have passed each section subsection subdivision paragraph sentenceclause or phrase of this Ordinance irrespective of the unconstitutionality orinvalidity of any section subsection subdivision paragraph sentence clause orphraseSection 4 EfFective Date This Ordinance shall take legal effect 30 days from andafter the date of its passageSection 5 Publication Within fifteen days of the adoption of this Ordinance theCity Clerk shall cause a copy of this Ordinance to be published in full accordancewith Section 36933 of the Government CodePage 1 of 2
