These detectors are designed to afford open area protection and are for use in hazardous areaswhere potentially explosive atmospheres are likely to arise (confirm classification of equipment required withyour responsible authority). <strong>1151</strong>EIS detectors are designed to be used with compatible panels only and mustbe used in conjunction with a compatible zener barrier or galvanic isolator.Each detector has remote LED annunciator capabilility as well as two integral alarm LEDs to provide local visualindication of detector status. Once the detector senses a fire, it latches in alarm and remains in this conditionuntil it is reset by a momentary power interruption.Model <strong>1151</strong>EIS smoke detectors include a tamper feature that prevents removal from the base without the useof a tool.
