SOUTHERN EDUCATION AND LIBRARY BOARDJOB DESCRIPTIONPOST TITLE:Assistant Youth Support Worker(Peer Support Worker - Visions)GRADE:SECTION:DEPARTMENT:REPORTS TO:RESPONSIBLE FOR:Youth<strong>Education</strong>Visions Co-ordinatorsAssisting with Visions programme <strong>and</strong> the implementation ofSELB/organisational policies.JOB PURPOSE:To work directly with the Visions Steering Group to develop the Visions Conference Programme.This post is for staff appointed to undertake duties under the direction of the Visions Co-Ordinators.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Assist with the planning <strong>and</strong> implementation of programmes, related to the ‘Model forEffective Practice’.2. Ensure that young people play an active role in the youth group <strong>and</strong> work towards a modelof youth participation.3. Communicate effectively <strong>and</strong> develop a rapport with young people.4. Assist in the development of relationships with the wider community <strong>and</strong> external agencies.5.
