In recent years, global communications<br />
options ”without“ speed limits have<br />
aff orded great success to E<strong>the</strong>rnet as<br />
a medium for automation, as E<strong>the</strong>rnet<br />
off ers several advantages: high speed<br />
between devices, <strong>in</strong>corporation <strong>in</strong>to an<br />
already exist<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>frastructure, seamless<br />
access from any location, web<br />
technology. Fur<strong>the</strong>r advantages of<br />
<strong>KNX</strong>net/IP as a transmission protocol<br />
on E<strong>the</strong>rnet as a medium <strong>in</strong>clude <strong>the</strong><br />
fact that <strong>KNX</strong>/<strong>EIB</strong> knowledge already<br />
acquired can be applied, and <strong>the</strong><br />
familiar and proven ETS 3 software<br />
can be used for commission<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
With <strong>the</strong> <strong>KNX</strong>net/IP controller and<br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>KNX</strong>/<strong>EIB</strong>/TP1 module, <strong>WAGO</strong><br />
provides an <strong>in</strong>novative concept for<br />
build<strong>in</strong>g automation. Complex applications,<br />
which were unth<strong>in</strong>kable up to<br />
now, can be created with <strong>the</strong>se components.<br />
The <strong>KNX</strong>/<strong>EIB</strong>/TP1 module<br />
provides <strong>the</strong> connection to exist<strong>in</strong>g TP1<br />
networks; conventional sensors and<br />
actuators as well as complex connections<br />
to DALI, EnOcean, etc. can be<br />
brought toge<strong>the</strong>r cost-eff ectively on<br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>KNX</strong>net/IP controller.<br />
