ROLE AND TASKS OF THE ICSRR
ICSRR
• It should provide efficient urban transit flows
• It should provide efficient distribution of traffic which gravitate to
different city areas without passing through city centre
• It is expected that above mentioned functions will relax Central zone of
unneeded transit flows from one to another city area
• ICSRR should perform both transit and distributive function generated by
Belgrade citizens and commuters
• Such function requested specific design solutions

PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY ICSRR CONSTRUCTION
• The volume of the main road network during the the morning peak hour
exceeds the number of 55.000 vehicles, and by the year of 2021 the
volume is expected to reach the figure of 105.000 vehicles which
represents a 90% increase.
• The 24% reduction in traffic flows on the bridges is expected after the
completion of the ICSRR construction (accordingly in the City Centre),
and in impact area even the reduction of 40% during the morning peak
hour.
• Expected travel time saving, in the first phase, implies more than 14.000
hours in the peak hour.
• Traffic volume reduction in the Central Area will result in essential
decrease in air pollution and noise.
