Page 27<strong>Feb</strong>ruary <strong>2011</strong>National Meeting Bulletin No 2 December 2010Merry Christmas <strong>MG</strong> Enthusiasts! The National Meeting Planning Grouphas been hard at work all year. The Supplementary Regulations havebeen sent off to CAMS and we are now waiting for approval and advice ofa permit number. We are confident of having the registration and entryforms available by the end of January.Concours: We will be asking for assistance from members of the other<strong>MG</strong> <strong>Club</strong>s to be class Judges. Fran will be sending out correspondence toCoordinators to gather names of willing judges, so please consider puttingyour name forward.Venue for Motorkhana: We are pleased to announce that a venue for theMotorkhana has been secured and we are very fortunate to be grantedaccess to the car parks of the <strong>Newcastle</strong> Hockey Centre and Energy AustraliaStadium at Broadmeadow. This venue is only 5 km away from thecentre of <strong>Newcastle</strong>.The Hillclimb Director advises that private practice will be available at theHillclimb circuit on Good Friday between 10 am and 4 pm. There is acharge of $20 per person (cash) and food / drinks will be available for purchase.Classes for Touring Assembly: After reviewing the classes used this year,participation numbers and feedback from the survey run from Adelaidewe have decided to increase the number of classes. We will also be reviewingthe registrations and may increase the classes if sufficient numbersof each model enter the event. The classes will be Pre <strong>MG</strong>A, <strong>MG</strong>A,<strong>MG</strong>B, Midget, <strong>MG</strong>Fs, <strong>MG</strong>s Post 1980 (excluding <strong>MG</strong>F). There is distinctpotential for the pre <strong>MG</strong>A class to be further separated judging on pastentries.Rocker Cover Racers: In order to plan for this event we will be asking youto indicate on the Registration form, if you are planning on entering thisevent. This doesn’t mean people can’t enter at Registration, we are justtrying to gauge interest to better plan the night’s activities. Only 1 entrantper racer will be allowed. We will also have a spot reserved at the Concoursfor people to display their rocker covers inspiring others to developmore over the next year ready for Tasmania!Kimber Run: As the Kimber Run is not a competition event we are happyto invite all Competitors who do not wish to run in the Motorkhana andsocial entrants to participate in the Run. It will follow a different route tothat of the Touring Assembly although they will both start from the samevenue.
