Cart rental isnot required except during Saturdays, Sundays and holidays before noon. Each time aregularly-priced round is paid, the cardholder will receive a punch. After the fifth punch thenext round is free.

Golf Course Alumni Program BeginsThe Furman Golf Club is introducing two new benefits for Furman alumni. Furman Alumniwho are verified through the university will receive a one-time Furman Golf Club die cast metalbag tag specifically design for alumni as well as a sleeve of Titleist Pro V1 golf balls with eachregularly-priced green fee (before 3 pm) until December 31, 2010.Alumni will also have the opportunity to purchase the new Alumni Pass at the Furman GolfClub. The Alumni Pass allows alumni to play the Furman Golf Club 7 days a week atfaculty/staff rates for 5 years from the date of purchase. The cost of this pass is just $500. Formore information on the Alumni Pass and Faculty/Staff rates, call the Furman Golf Club at 864-294-9090.Range Renovation Complete & New Shorter Tees IntroducedThe driving range renovation that was undertaken in early February is now complete.While the range tee will be closed until April, the range is OPEN and a temporary tee is availableat the front of the range. The renovation was undertaken as part of a continuing effort toimprove the Furman Golf Club facility. The existing tee was removed then expanded from 9,000square feet to 20,000 square feet and rotated slightly to the left to square up the tee area withthe fairway. The expansion will help with tee conditions throughout the season allowing formore teeing area and much better grass coverage as areas of the tee will have more time toheal. Brand new high-tech mats will be installed at the front of the range for times when therange tee is closed for maintenance or frost.
