He wasrunning Camp Bucca, and he-- he was going-- it was doctrine accordingto Colonel Ecke. So the processing line, which should have been partof the battalion’s responsibility, was not. They-- I mean he was theBattalion Commander because that was a comfort zone apparently forhim. So, when he came up to Baghdad Central-- when he came up toBaghdad, I sat down with him and I told him, “You’re going to be theDeputy. That means you do logistics. You do coordination. I wantyou involved with the staff. I do not want you to camp out at12Baghdad Central because the 320 thMP Battalion is going to be in1314151617181920212223charge.” But-- but-- I mean I heard all of the arguments from himand he continued. And every time I saw him trying to drift back totaking control of that operation I’d pull him back into the TOC andremind him again what his responsibilities were. Then he said hethought that he could do a lot of good down at CPA working withreconstruction of the jails and the prisons.
