General InformationThe <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> CSD is one <strong>of</strong> five academic departments within the College <strong>of</strong> Allied Healthat the OUHSC. It is staffed by 14 full-time <strong>and</strong> 9 part-time faculty members <strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers fiveacademic degree programs in speech-language pathology <strong>and</strong> in audiology: the pre-pr<strong>of</strong>essionalundergraduate degree (B.S. in CSD), two pr<strong>of</strong>essional preparation degrees (M.A. in SLP, Au.D.),<strong>and</strong> two research degrees (M.S. in SLP, Ph.D. in either SLP or in Audiology). Within thecollege’s Allied Health Clinics, the John W. Keys Speech <strong>and</strong> Hearing Center is administered bythe <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> CSD <strong>and</strong> serves as an important research <strong>and</strong> clinical training site for studentsin the department’s academic programs. The department’s pr<strong>of</strong>essional preparation programs inspeech-language pathology <strong>and</strong> in audiology are nationally accredited by the Council onAcademic Accreditation in Audiology <strong>and</strong> in Speech-Language Pathology.
