<strong>Ray</strong> <strong>Lawson</strong> <strong>Hall</strong> Vehicle <strong>Parking</strong> Regulations2013 / 2014As the <strong>College</strong> grounds are private property, the <strong>College</strong> maintains full jurisdiction over the traffic flowand parking in conjunction with the Highway Traffic Act.<strong>Sault</strong> <strong>College</strong> shall not be responsible for any loss, personal injury or damage to any motor vehicleand contents however caused.Vehicles must park in designated areas. <strong>Parking</strong> is prohibited in any service, emergency or loadingzone, bus stops, roadway, walkway, patron or grassed/landscaped areas.All vehicle operators are required to comply with all <strong>College</strong> parking and traffic regulations. Failurewill result in vehicles being ticketed and/or towed at the expense of the owner.Appeals for the violations of fire route, roadways, or handicapped areas must be made with the Cityof <strong>Sault</strong> Ste. Marie <strong>Parking</strong> Authority.Any vehicles left on <strong>College</strong> property for any period of time after the termination of the registrant’scourse, conference, or employment will be considered abandoned and will be towed away at theexpense of the owner.Lot designation passes must be displayed at all times corresponding with appropriate lots.Paid parking is in force year round.All parking lots on campus are provided within the limits of available space; parking privileges do notguarantee availability of a parking space but allows you to park in designated area. Unavailability of aparking space or lot does not relieve the driver of his or her responsibility with respect to the parkingrules and regulations.Any unauthorized vehicle or vehicles parked in any other area that was not agreed upon by the userand the <strong>College</strong> will be ticketed and/or towed at the expense of the owner.The visitor section of A-wing lots and the metered area is a prohibited area for any student and staffmember unless authorized by the Financial Services Office. Any violations of this area may result ina ticket and/or towed at the expense of the owner.Areas designated as “Patron <strong>Parking</strong> Only” are restricted to <strong>College</strong> patrons. All patrons must sign intheir vehicles at the registry of the appropriate <strong>College</strong> areas (i.e. Hairstyling, Esthetician, Gallery).Improper use of these areas may result in a ticket and/or towed at the expense of the owner.All students, full and part time <strong>College</strong> employees and guests must purchase or pay on entry at thecoin lot for the use of parking areas. A completed “<strong>Parking</strong> <strong>Application</strong>” form along with cash,cheque, or money order is to be presented to the <strong>Residence</strong> Office for issuance of the appropriatepass.<strong>Parking</strong> pass refunds will be issued upon presentation of a valid undamaged pass. Refunds willconsist of any unused full month portion of the parking fee paid.All lost or stolen passes must be reported to the residence Office. Replacement passes will cost anadditional $10 each.Passes must be returned to the <strong>Residence</strong> Office upon expiry, or the end of the school year,whichever is sooner. Passes holders will be charged $10 for any unreturned passes.Passes are non-transferable unless approved by the <strong>Residence</strong> Office.Pass holders are responsible to ensure the currency of their passes.Applicants who will be using different vehicles are to register all vehicles when applying for a pass.Only one pass will be issued and is required to be displayed regardless of the vehicle being used.2 of 2
