Additionally, the SurgeDeflect technologyprovides improved noise protection from electromagnetic and radio frequencyinterference (EMI/RFI).Incorporating our exclusive patent-pending enhanced protection for phone/fax/modems, Stratitec SurgeAbsorb diffuses and redirects surge energy awayfrom your equipment.SurgeAbsorbIsolationFailsafeStratitec IsolationFailsafe offers a final stage of protection for your equipment. If a massive surge occurs, the SurgeAbsorb circuitry signals theIsolationFailsafe circuitry to automatically disconnect power and shut off yourequipment. This provides ultimate power protection.GoldGroundStratitec GoldGround uses a highly-conductive gold plating on the groundprong of the power cord for the best-possible ground connection. The groundconnection is critical because it is used to suppress surge voltages by deflectingthousands of amps of damaging electrical current when surges occur. This Stratitec surge suppressor meets the UL 1449 Rev 2 specification. The UL specification ensuresthis surge suppressor is safe to use and is effective as a surge suppressor. Note: Surgesuppressors made before Feb. 1998 generally do not meet the UL 1449 Rev 2 specification, andmay be a fire hazard. We strongly recommend you discard any surge suppressors made prior toFeb. 1998 and replace them with new units. For the highest level of continued protection, we suggest that you move surge suppressors that have been inuse for three or more years to protect less valuable equipment.Page 3© 2005-2006 Stratitec, Inc.
