Successful reports <strong>of</strong> criminal background checks andurine drug screens do not assure eligibility for specific clinical site placement, program completion,and/or eligibility to sit for pr<strong>of</strong>essional licensure/board examinations.Students are reminded that licensing boards for certain health care occupations and pr<strong>of</strong>essions maydeny, suspend, or revoke a license or may deny the individual the opportunity to sit for anexamination even if the individual has completed all program course work if it is determined that anapplicant has a criminal history or has been convicted <strong>of</strong>, or pleads guilty, or pleads nolo contendereor the like to a felony or other serious crime.Successful completion <strong>of</strong> a health pr<strong>of</strong>essions program <strong>of</strong> study at <strong>Anne</strong> <strong>Arundel</strong> <strong>Community</strong><strong>College</strong> does not guarantee licensure, the opportunity to sit for a licensure examination, certificationor employment in the relevant health care occupation.Students may be automatically denied admission or, if enrolled, dismissed from the program if theyhave not been truthful or have provided inaccurate information on the application or on any otherform or submission. AACC shall inform students which programspresently require them. Criminal background checks through PreCheck are completed online and thecost is $49.50. Please do not do the criminal background check prior to being instructed to doso. The instructions will be given out at the program orientation seminars and for selectiveprograms, information will also be given in your acceptance letters.CLINICAL SITE PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTSStudents complete the clinical courses at sites affiliated with the PTA Program. Sites are assignedby the Academic Coordinator for Clinical Education.
