IXTHE GATHERING OF GOD'S PEOPLE: ZEPHANIAH 3:12-20For I will leave in the midst of you a people humble and lowly.They shall seek refuge in the name of the LORD -- the remnantof Israel; they shall do no wrong and utter no lies, nor shall adeceitful tongue be found in their mouths. Then they willpasture and lie down, and no one shall make them afraid.Sing aloud, O daughter Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exultwith all your heart, O daughter Jerusalem! The LORD has takenaway the judgments against you, he has turned away yourenemies. The king of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; youshall fear disaster no more.On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: Do not fear, O Zion; donot let your hands grow weak. The LORD, your God, is in yourmidst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you withgladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over youwith loud singing as on a day of festival. I will remove disasterfrom you, so that you will not bear reproach for it. I will dealwith all your oppressors at that time.
