Science andAgriculture is based on the Pietermaritzburgand Westville campuses. In particular, Agricultureis offered only on the Pietermaritzburgcampus and Geology is only on the Westvillecampus. Engineering students have theoption of completing their first year of studyon either the Pietermaritzburg or HowardCollege campus (other than Chemical Engineeringwhich is offered at Howard Collegeonly). All other years of study are undertakenat Howard College, except for the third andfinal year in Agricultural Engineering, which isoffered only in Pietermaritzburg.EngineeringEngineering at UKZN offers fully accreditedprofessional degrees in the fields ofEngineering and Land Surveying. Theseare structured degree programmes in theapplied sciences, which stretch over fouryears of full-time study.The College offers degree programmes whichare relevant to industry, and are internationallyrecognised and accredited by the EngineeringCouncil of South Africa.
