However parents can makea placing request to attend a secondary school other than the catchment school and furtherin<strong>for</strong>mation on how to do this is available in the booklet, Choosing a school – a guide <strong>for</strong>parents, which is available online at www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2010/11/10093528/0SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTThe development of learning and teaching is driven by the school improvement plan. Eachyear, following evaluation we take our development priorities <strong>for</strong>ward through this plan. Theplan maps out how developments will take place and how we plan to monitor work inprogress. The plan keeps us focused and on track. Evaluation by staff, parents, pupils andother stakeholders is documented in the Standards and Quality Report and in<strong>for</strong>ms our nextimprovement plan. A summary leaflet is issued to parents.
