Information for Parents/Carers Kingsbarns Primary School 2014-15THE SCHOOL TO WHICH YOUR CHILD WILL TRANSFEROn completion of primary education the normal arrangement is for children to transfer to thecatchment secondary school associated with their home address. However parents can makea placing request to attend a secondary school other than the catchment school and furtherinformation on how to do this is available in the booklet, Choosing a school – a guide forparents, which is available online at www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2010/11/10093528/0SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTThe development of learning and teaching is driven by the school improvement plan. Eachyear, following evaluation we take our development priorities forward through this plan. Theplan maps out how developments will take place and how we plan to monitor work inprogress. The plan keeps us focused and on track. Evaluation by staff, parents, pupils andother stakeholders is documented in the Standards and Quality Report and informs our nextimprovement plan. A summary leaflet is issued to parents.
