53Revision-<strong>Reconstruction</strong>The main reasons for implant removal among revision reconstruction patients in theMemoryShape <strong>Breast</strong> Implant Core Study through 3 and 6 years are shown in Figure 7below. There were a total of 22 implants removed in 14 patients through 3 years, and atotal of 36 implants removed in 22 patients through 6 years. Of the 22 implants removedthrough 3 years, 4 (18%) were replaced with a study device; of the 36 implants removedthrough 6 years, 8 (22%) were replaced with a study device. The most common reasonsfor implant removal through 3 years (4 each of the 22 implants removed) were asymmetry,position dissatisfaction, and wrinkling.
