Autocross brought us some more winners. Robert Smith took 1st
in class and 1st overall in his 914, and Andrew Chisolm in his
1973 911 took 2nd in class. Price Dodson came in with a 3rd
place with his 2006 Cayman S, David Machen took a 6th place in
his early 911, and Mark Rogers placed 7th with his 1987 911. I
am not sure if we missed anyone and apologize if we did.
Another highlight was the Heritage and Historic garage display
from the first 60 years of Porsche, with Norbert Singer giving us
detailed and technical information about some of these beautiful
cars. We fortunately have a signed copy of his Autobiography
“24:16”.
Everyone had fun in the Zone Challenge, even Peter Porsche who
really enjoyed the Track Race Simulator.
Parade is a very special event that you have to experience at
least once. You get to talk to people like Jack and Ginny Case who
drive in from California in their red Boxster, and have done so for
most every parade starting with the first one 53 years ago.
