“Since I skate professionally, I get to travel and skate skateparks all over the world. When
the tour bus or van pulls up to a Ramptech skatepark, I don't have to worry about
skating loud, clanky, or poor quality ramps. The guys at Ramptech are also
skaters, and know how to design a skatepark to meet my standards and the standards of
skaters at every level. Rock on!”
“I’ve been doing this for 30 years, and this is the best thing
we’ve ever done. It’s a great outlet, and a great group of kids.
Ramptech offered great support and follow up. When we had
a question, Ramptech was always available, or returned my
phone call within the hour. They helped us with the design and
can they deliver like Ramptech?”
GREETINGSAND
WELCOME
For three decades I have skated the greatest and worst skateparks and event terrain.
I’ve taken that experience and created the best ramps in the world! We can say that
because we’ve made the comparison and so have many of the top professional skaters.
ESPN and Van’s Triple Crown have called us to make some of the most thrilling courses ever built.
We’ve built nearly 200 parks. We didn’t gain this level of trust and confidence on the playground.
Many new companies are jumping into the skatepark business because the sport is rapidly
growing. As one company states in their literature, while we were inventing the sport, they were
off doing something else.
We bring credibility and assurance that you will get a great park that the community appreciates.
That credibility comes from the broadest ramp offering in the business. That credibility comes
from providing the kind of product excellence that the top pros and most watched events
demand. That credibility comes because this is not our side business. All of our resources,
creativity and efforts go into providing the best products and keeping up with the ever changing
interests of the sport.
The purpose of this brochure is to introduce you to Ramptech and show you the benefits to
doing business with a highly respected and proven company recognized through out the skater
world. If you would like to learn more about the difference a core company like Ramptech can
make to your program please call me.
8REASONSTO
1 Innovation and Recognition
We are a collective of skaters,
designers, and construction
professionals who genuinely care
about every aspect of what we do and have the
experience necessary to do it right. We are
committed to designing and building the highest
quality skateparks for the communities and
customers who we serve. A great deal of our
success owes itself to our commitment to quality
and customer service; we are with you through
every stage of the project and make sure that the
process runs smoothly and according to schedule.
Here are 8 reasons why to choose Ramptech:
2 Experience
There are few companies that have built as
many parks as Ramptech. We stand
alone when you consider the variety of events,
parks and product innovations we
have developed.
Below are just some of the many innovations
Ramptech has developed over the last 20 years
in the skate industry:
■ 1 st one piece molded Kicker Ramp
■ 1 st to introduce Skatelite as a
ramp surface
■ 1st to provide quality modular ramp systems
■ 1st to introduce common standards
for ramps
■ 1st online park design software
■ 1st to introduce industry standard
ramp blueprints
■ Award for Excellence in Skatepark Design
■ Award for Excellence in Skatepark
Construction
■ Twenty Years of Excellence for Outstanding
Contributions to the Skatepark Industry
3 Superior Ride
When we introduced Skatelite to the skating
industry it changed the sport by allowing the rider
to have complete control. The feel and control of
Skatelite leads to a superior ride that skaters want
and notice. Not only are we building the ramps,
we are skating them allowing us to gain the
knowledge from inside the sport and out. Pitches
and the angles of ramps are also key, and the only
way to know which ones to use is to actual skate
them yourself!
4 Rugged Quality
Our two ramp systems are engineered to handle
the heaviest abuse so that they will stand up to
constant use by skaters, inliners and BMX bikes. All
Ramptech products come with extended
warranties so that you can focus on running
programs, not repairing equipment.

5 Product Breadth
Ramptech offers more ramp options and
combinations than any other company. We have
developed all of our ramp models to reach the
broadest range of skaters possible. While some are
learning the fundamentals, others are looking for
some complexity, additional heights and more
challenging combinations. This allows you to
attract a larger skater population and keep them
coming back for more.
7 Full Modularity to Change
and Grow
Modularity means the ability to interchange the
various components. It is important because our
sport continues to evolve; park courses need to be
designed to meet the demand of users and keep
interest levels high. This may require changing the
layout of the equipment to create new and
challenging paths. We encourage you to look
closely at the ease, options and range of change
possible and how well the different configurations
fit when they are reconfigured while maintaining
their functionality.
6 Community Safe and Friendly
We understand the concerns and the interests
of communities and the parents in those
communities. Our products are designed to
reduce the noise so they do not sound like
kettledrums booming day and night. Our surfaces
are also more forgiving and less slippery than
some still using painted steel. We have seen how
our products turn past complaints into
compliments.
8 We’re in it for the Long Haul
Building skate terrain products is our only business
and it has been for the last twenty years. We are
excited to see the growth and popularity of our sport.
Our commitment to the sport has and will always
come first. That means we will still be here when
other companies decide to go back to what they
were doing a few years ago before skating gained its
current popularity.
Larger ramps (4’ and over) designed for higher skilled
users (may also be used by beginners with caution).
The largest percentage of users prefer these ramps,
beginners quickly advance to this level.
STREET OBSTACLES
CENTER PIECES
Ramps that are situated
between perimeter ramps
and are usually found near
the center of the skatepark.
Riders pass over these
perimeters.
Examples
Fly Wedge Boxes, Fly
Boxes, Pyramids
Smaller movable ramps that can be situated by themselves
(do not need perimeter ramps for momentum) or can be
placed and moved throughout the skatepark.
SKATEPARK
CREATOR
"Creating the right ride"— Designing a skatepark takes more than technical understanding, it
requires imagining the experience and drawing from that imagination to conceive the perfect design. Skatepark
designers who are experienced skaters have a great advantage over non-skating designers because they are able to
translate their experience into designs that work. Their ability to sense the perspective, the momentum and the correct
distances is key to creating skateparks that are successful. At Ramptech we insist that all of our designers and engineers
are able to ride the ramps that they create. Because of our dedication to quality, our skateparks are preferred by
advanced and beginner skaters all over the country.
THE DESIGN
STEP
1
Skatepark Creator allows you to design precise layouts; just
enter the size of your park and add any Ramptech ramp model
to create your plan. A three dimensional model is developed which
allows the layout to be analyzed from all angles in order to ensure
that it is optimized for usability, function, and safety.
THE COLLABORATION
Once your design is complete, it can be saved and printed.
The design can be shared with local skaters, inliners, and bikers to
get feedback. The layout will also be sent to Ramptech so that we
can give planning advice and pricing information.
STEP
3
GETTING STARTED, WWW.RAMPTECH.COM
Ramptech continues to lead the skatepark industry by introducing
the first, free, online skatepark design software available at
www.ramptech.com. All you need is a browser and you will be
on your way to making your skatepark a reality.
Whether you are a skater, a city official, or a private investor,
dreaming up the perfect park, and putting your ideas on paper,
is made simple.
STEP
2
THE PRODUCTION
Using information from the design and engineering plans,
the park is installed to exact specifications. Ramptech’s expert skaters
then test the park to make sure that everything works perfectly. Once
the final clearance is given, the park is ready for the public to enjoy.
