Set of Fours and the 3 Over 2 Ratchet PrusikAs stated earlier, the 3/2 prusikhas proven to be the bestadjustable hitch and at the sametime provide realistic shockabsorption. This hitch is used at 3different positions, the SOFsratchet, the shock absorber 9mmattachment point, and the shockabsorber adjustable loop.In short, by sliding the host ropethrough the original loop of thehitch an uneven potential iscreated for a typically wrappedprusik hitch. It is essential that the 3 wraps ofthis prusik always be towards theload bearing end of the host rope. This positioning is easily madepossible by orientating the prusikloop with the host rope as shownin step 2.Simply follow the remaining stepsto complete the ratchet.Again, by arranging the 3 wrapstowards the connecting becket ofthe pulley, the ratchet will alwayspoint in the right direction withoutdetaching it from the host rope, regardless if it is repositioned tomeet any number of differentapplications.© Rescue Response Gear, 2012
