The results are presented in Table 4. While ∑ s+ r O r+ s+∈ ∑ r<strong>for</strong> suppliersUr∈OD1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 17 is equal to zero, they are additiveefficient. Inefficient suppliers can use these results from a marketing perspective. If aparticular supplier is poorly per<strong>for</strong>ming, then the supplier can use the analysis <strong>for</strong>benchmarking purposes. This result implies that the supplier should reduce theundesirable outputs and provide better per<strong>for</strong>mance on desirable outputs. For example,consider supplier 18 which is an inefficient supplier. Table 4 indicates that λ 1 = 1,Dimplying that supplier 1 is the benchmark <strong>for</strong> supplier 18. Furthermore, s + 3= 9.2,Ds + D5= 5.3, s + U6= 11, and s + 1= 28.8, implying that supplier 18 must increaseD D DUy3 , y5 and y6to 81, 50.3, and 21.36, respectively, and reduce y 1to 1 to becomeefficient.
