A letter from <strong>Lever</strong> to <strong>Gorer</strong> on 14 th Julyrecorded his initial concerns over a leak to the press. This was followed by aletter from <strong>Gorer</strong> of 6 th September informing <strong>Lever</strong> that Duveen of <strong>Liverpool</strong> hadlearnt of his purchase. Throughout October there were further leaks.
