<strong>Air</strong>/<strong>Shield</strong> (Incorporating Energy/<strong>Shield</strong> ES35 & ES36)IntroductionProduct Sizing<strong>Actionair</strong> has announced a majorenhancement to the company’s wellproven<strong>Air</strong>/<strong>Shield</strong> range of opposedblade dampers.To maximise the potential number ofsingle-module / single-driveconfigurations, the range has beencomplemented by the addition ofEnergy/<strong>Shield</strong> <strong>Dampers</strong> for ductworkapplications above 1000mm in width.Thus, Energy/<strong>Shield</strong> ES35 units cannow be selected for air balancingrequirements for flanged ductworkabove 1000mm X 1000mm. Shut offdamper requirements for ductwork inthese sizes can be met byEnergy/<strong>Shield</strong> ES36 models, where asingle drive is required. Smaller sizesare also available in a flanged stylecasing.For ductwork in sizes below thesedimensions the range of <strong>Air</strong>/<strong>Shield</strong>Aerofoil (air balancing) and Aeroseal(shut off) <strong>Dampers</strong> will continue toprovide a quality engineeredsolution.Aerofoil <strong>Air</strong> Control DamperAeroseal <strong>Air</strong> Control and Shut-OffDamperMaximum versatilityTo ensure maximum versatility ofapplication flanged Energy/<strong>Shield</strong>ES35 and ES 36 units will beavailable in 1mm height increments,while specifiers may opt for eitheropposed blade or parallel bladeaction according to requirement.For ducts up to 2080mm in width x1000mm in height these new flangedmodels can be powered by a singledrive to minimise unit cost andmaintenance requirements.
