It includes one or more Familyand Consumer Educators (FCE), who are part of the CountyExtension Center. FCEs interact with county residents toassess nutrition education needs and issues. As NCSU fieldfaculty, they also work with FCS faculty to provide researchbasededucational programming. County and state facultywork with school-age children, parents and educators ina variety of ways including providing leadership on thecommunity component of Team Nutrition, Be Active Kidsand the SyberShop CD-ROM for high school students.Agents work in multi-agency teams to improve nutritioneducation opportunities for children and parents.
