<strong>Enlightenment</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Dialogue</strong> <strong>–</strong> <strong>Programme</strong><strong>The</strong> “<strong>Enlightenment</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Dialogue</strong>” series comprises five dialogue blocks whichcont<strong>in</strong>ue for the entire duration <strong>of</strong> the exhibition. <strong>The</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g dialogues will betak<strong>in</strong>g place at the National Museum <strong>of</strong> Ch<strong>in</strong>a from spr<strong>in</strong>g 2011 to spr<strong>in</strong>g 2012:---<strong>Dialogue</strong> I: <strong>The</strong> <strong>Art</strong> <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Enlightenment</strong> <strong>–</strong> <strong>The</strong> History <strong>of</strong> an ExhibitionDate: 2 April 2011, 9.00 am to 12.00 pm<strong>The</strong> first dialogue describes how the exhibition “<strong>The</strong> <strong>Art</strong> <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Enlightenment</strong>” came about. Italso <strong>in</strong>troduces visitors to the sites <strong>of</strong> the collections from which the exhibited artworks weretaken and explores the reasons for choos<strong>in</strong>g this exhibition theme.---<strong>Dialogue</strong> II: <strong>Enlightenment</strong> and <strong>Art</strong>Date: 14 July 2011, 9.00 am to 12.00 pmThis dialogue is devoted to the <strong>Enlightenment</strong> and its relationship to art.---<strong>Dialogue</strong> III: <strong>Enlightenment</strong> and Its Ch<strong>in</strong>ese HistoryDate: 9 September 2011, 9.00 am to 12.00 pm<strong>Enlightenment</strong> is an omnipresent phenomenon that cannot be limited to a s<strong>in</strong>gle event <strong>in</strong>European history.
