BASEBALL The Cavaliers<br />

captured the final NAIA West<br />

postseason tournament spot in the<br />

final weekend and held their ground<br />

with a 2-2 mark in postseason play<br />

held at Hilken Community Stadium,<br />

including a convincing 7-1 win over<br />

No. 2-seeded British Columbia.<br />

Overall, CU finished 25-28 on the<br />

season and were led by All-NAIA<br />

West selection Ben Talbot at catcher.<br />

SOFTBALL <strong>Concordia</strong><br />

swept No. 17-ranked Corban<br />

<strong>University</strong> in the final week of the<br />

season to earn the No. 2 seed in the CCC Tournament. Finishing with a 24-21<br />

overall record and a 15-9 record in conference play, the Cavs were rewarded<br />

with All-CCC honors by catchers<br />

Kyndell Andrews and Kate<br />

Santos and second baseman Sam<br />

Genskay. In addition, Laura Luther<br />

was named honorable mention<br />

all-conference at first base.<br />

CROSS COUNTRY<br />

MEN: The Cavalier men’s cross<br />

country team never finished below<br />

second at any meet they ran until<br />

the NAIA Championships. At<br />

nationals, <strong>Concordia</strong> finished 19th<br />

overall. Andrew Landstrom led<br />

the Cavs at the meet with a 25th<br />

place finish to become the fourth<br />

All-American in school history.<br />

Landstrom also earned All-CCC<br />

honors along with teammate Ben<br />

Foubert, while the team placed<br />

second at the CCC meet.<br />

CROSS COUNTRY<br />

WOMEN: In a season replete with<br />

accomplishments, the women’s<br />

cross country team saved the best<br />

for last as they set a new school<br />

record with 232 team points at the<br />

NAIA National Championships. In<br />

addition, <strong>Concordia</strong> qualified two<br />

All-Americans in the same meet<br />

for the first time in school history<br />

in Gina Paletta and Junia Limage.<br />

Paletta twice won individual titles<br />

and was named National Runner of<br />

the Week after her second win. Paletta<br />

also helped the Cavs finish second at<br />

the CCC meet and received All-CCC<br />

honors along with teammates Lauren<br />

Moran and Limage.<br />

Navy & White<br />

SOCCER MEN: The<br />

<strong>Concordia</strong> men won their first eight<br />

matches of the season and finished<br />

16-2-1 overall and 11-1-1 in the<br />

CCC on their way to CCC Regular<br />

Season and Tournament titles. The<br />

Cavs received the No. 11 seed in<br />

the NAIA Tournament and hosted<br />

an NAIA Opening Round match<br />

against Great Falls <strong>University</strong>, but<br />

lost 3-2. Individually, Facundo<br />

Dipascuale repeated as the CCC<br />
