Research Interests/Qualifications<br />

• Climatology in the context of physical geography and applied meteorology with a special interest in boundarylayer<br />

phenomena and turbulence at the micro and local scales, particularly in the urban environment<br />

• Effects of land use changes on the local climate with particular focus on the climate of cities and the role they<br />

play in climate change; integration of urban climate research with climate sensitive urban design<br />

• Theoretical and applied knowledge of micrometeorological methods and techniques for the evaluation of energy<br />

and mass (water and carbon dioxide) exchanges over heterogeneous terrain (urban, crops and forests)<br />
