Dr Simon Benjamin, who is leading a researchteam in the Materials Dept at the Universityof Oxford, contacted the art dpt. The weekof 2nd July, his team will be running an exhibitat a major science show in London, The RoyalSociety Summer Science Exhibition. He askedus if we would decorate his promotion manikinfor him. We were more than happy to help, soLucy, Rou, Michaela and the art team workedtirelessly with very difficult equations.We started the year 7 ArtClub in September and ithas grown so much in popularitywe are now carrying onwith a year 8 Art club as wellas a year 7 next year. Ourwonderfully creative year 7’shave produced some amazingwork and used many differentmediums includingclay, wire sculptures, screenprinting, papier mache andof course lots of paint!
