Wash clothing before re-use.Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.DO NOT induce vomiting; give plenty of water to drink.No specific antidote exists. Treat symptomatically.SECTION 5FIRE FIGHTING MEASURESFire and explosion hazards: This product is a non-flammable.Product is combustible and has a flash point of 92°C (closed cup).Extinguishing Media: Water or foam extinguishers can be used.Fire Fighting: Fight fire in the early stages if safe to do so. Do not attempt to extinguish larger firesevacuatethe area and contact emergency services. During a fire this product mayproduce smoke and hazardous decomposition products. Do not allow thefire-water to enter drains.SECTION 6Accidental Release:SECTION 7Safe Handling:Storage:ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURESIn the case of spillage it is important to take all steps necessary to avoid eye and skincontact and to avoid contamination of waterways.Procedure for spill:Keep all bystanders away. Wear full length clothing and PVC gloves.Reposition any leaking containers so as to minimise further leakage.Dam and absorb spill with an absorbent material (eg. sand or soil).Shovel the absorbed spill into drums and top with hydrated lime.Disposal of the absorbed material will depend upon the extent of the spill. Forquantities up to 50L of product bury in a secure landfill site.For quantities greater than 50L seek advice from the manufacturer before attemptingdisposal. Contain in a secure location until disposal method is established.Decontaminate spill area with hydrated lime scattered over the spill prior to rinsing offwith water.Do not eat, drink or smoke during the clean-up operation.HANDLING AND STORAGEHarmful if swallowed. Will damage eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders.When opening the container and using the product, wear cotton overalls buttoned tothe neck and wrist, a washable hat, elbow length PVC gloves and a face shield. Ifclothing becomes contaminated with product remove clothing immediately. If producton skin, immediately wash area with soap and water. If product in eyes, wash it outimmediately with water. After use and before eating, drinking and smoking, washhands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. Eye contact could result in painful stinging of the eyes and lids, watering of theeyes, conjunctivitis, opaqueness of cornea and possibly to loss of sight.Fluazuron technical has been tested on laboratory mammals and in test-tubesystems. No evidence of mutagenic, carcinogenic, teratogenic or reproductive effectswas obtained. N-(N-dodecyl)-2- pyrrolidone and N-(N-octyl)-2- pyrrolidone provednon-mutagenic in an Ames test.
