EXB-MastsEXB-MastsEXB-masts are mechanical winch and beltoperated (fixed) vehicle masts. EXB-masts aredesigned for heights up to 12 m with max. 100kg top load. Masts are designed for unguyedthrough-the-roof vehicle installations. EXBmastsare made of composite material.EXB-masts have double belt system. One beltis used for lifting top load up and the otherfor pulling it down, when vehicle is inclinedor weather conditions otherwise require it.The electric winch has hand crank as a backupsystem for power failures. EXB series areequipped with latch mechanism for controllingthe raising order of the mast sections.EXB-masts can be painted in customer specificcolours.

All components withstandimmersion and salt water and are designed tosurvive rough handling.Telescopic lifting poles are designed for covertaccess on ships or buildings. Poles can be usedto securely attach a ladder to a structure inorder to gain rapid and covert access or to gaina visibility to restricted locations via a cameramounted on the pole, through the window, over fences and over roofs.TLP-poles can be painted in customer specificcolours.12

TripodsTripodsTripods can be used for several applicationsinstead of small masts. Light weight tripods aredesigned for 2-5 kg top loads and heavy dutytripods for maximum 100 kg top loads.Tripods are made of glass fiber composite.Tripod legs are telescopic and sectionsare pushed out and locked in place withmechanical latches. For windy conditions theheavy duty tripods can also be guyed. Tripodsare quick to deploy and they provide excellentpointing accuracy for heavy narrow beamantennas. Tripods can also handle inertialloads.Tripods are applicable, for example, formountain top link applications as well asdeploying a communication system on rooftops in urban areas. Tripods are excellent fortemporary communication networks in rescue, police and fire fighting as well as temporarylighting applications.Tripods can be painted with customer specificcolours.13

AccessoriesAccessoriesEach mast system is supplied with a full fielddeployment accessory kit. Mast accessoriesare designed to enable easy and fast mastdeployment in all weather conditions.Accessory kits are packed in all-weather bags. The standard colour of bags is green. Othercolours are available at request.Special user friendly guy reel design makestensioning the guys and plumbing the mastquick and easy. Guy ropes are available inpolyester or aramid. Heavy duty aramidcore guy ropes are durable yet easy touse. Hardened guy stakes are suitable forlong term use in a wide variety of groundconditions. All deployment accessories are fabricatedfrom the state of the art materials to assureoptimal performance.

AncillariesTilter and Rotator-TilterAntenna Pointing DevicesAntenna positioners, such as rotators, doublerotators, tilters and rotator-tilters, are availablefor different antenna configurations.Antenna pointing devices are available in allmast colours.Tilter and Rotator-TilterTilter is an antenna pointing device for pointingthe antenna in elevation.Rotator-tilter is an antenna pointing device forpointing the antenna system both horizontally(azimuth) and vertically (elevation).Tilters and rotator-tilters are operated fromthe ground level with maneuvring ropes.Antennas can be mounted directly on the tilteror rotator-tilter top or on antenna specificbrackets.16

AncillariesRotator, Double-Rotator and RCURotator and Double RotatorRotator is an antenna pointing device forpointing an antenna system horizontally(azimuth). Double-rotator is designed fortwo antenna systems that can be rotatedindependently from each other.Rotators are operated from the groundlevel with maneuvring ropes. Antennascan be mounted directly on the rotatortop tube or on antenna specific brackets.Electric remote control units are alsoavailable for antenna rotators and doublerotatorsRemote Control Unit (RCU)Rotator can be controlled with RCU.Operation voltage is 24 VDC.17

Antenna BracketsAntenna BracketsAntenna brackets for different antenna typesare available for various applications.Antenna brackets are available in all mastcolours.18

Transportation KitsTransportation KitsMast transportation kits are available fordifferent vehicle models, shelters andcontainers. Transportation kits enable safemast transportation and quick deployment.Vehicle and shelter transportation kits enablethe use of mast either attached to the vehicleor shelter or as a free standing mast.Transportation kits are available in all mast andvehicle colours.19

WPU (Winch Power Unit)WPU (Winch Power Unit)WPU can be used with all EX-, EXL- and EXBtypemast winches. Motor unit is an add-ondevice that is fixed on the winch with two handscrews to replace the crank handle. Motor unitcan be easily and quickly detached in case ofpower failure to enable manual back up. A circuitbreaker together with a mechanical torque limiterprotects the motor and mast.WPU kit consists of an electric motor drive, remote controller and power cable packed in atransportation bag. Motor is controlled with aremote controller. Voltage options: 12 VDC, 24VDC, 48 VDC, 110 VAC and 230 VAC.WPUs are available in all mast colours.20
