Nominations can be made by registered participants only.Self-nomination is permitted. There is no prescribed pro-formafor nominations.2. Awards for Education Technology are aimed atacknowledging these innovations. The awards recognizeexcellence in technology use, adaptation, and development byfaculty, staff, and administrators to enhance the teaching, learning,and working environment in educational institutions.THE AWARDThe award provides the recipient with a certificate and a memento.ELIGIBILITYAny post secondary institution or a technology solution providermay send nominations for the award.SELECTION CRITERIANominations for the awards will be judged based on the informationprovided with regard to the following:1. Creation and/or Best Use of Shared Content/Learning Objectsin Support of Traditional Classroom and Distance LearningEnvironment. This must reflect creation and/or making thebest use of shared learning content/objects.2. Institutional Technology. This includes institution, campus,division, and other specialty web sites, e-mail systems,intranets, software for administrative functions, and otheruses of technology to improve the quality and efficiency of theeducational experience for students, college personnel, andother interested parties.3. Technology in Education Leadership. This must reflect theinnovative uses of technology at the institution.4. Virtual Learning Environment. This must reflect improvedAwards for Education Technologystudent success, retention, or program completion in alearning environment through innovative use or adaptationof instructional technology and/or alternative pedagogy.degree program.5. The true measure of an institution’s greatness can be found inthe achievements of its alumni. Indian institutions are known todevelop leaders in many fields of endeavor. A vast number of thealumni have gained unique distinction through success in theirprofessions, businesses, and contribution to their communities.The Awards honor outstanding former students and celebratetheir achievements. The purpose of the Awards is to recognizethe alumni who have made significant contributions to society,and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers havehonored the legacy of excellence at their alma-mater.THE AWARDThe award provides the recipient with a certificate and a memento.Awards for Distinguished Alumniindustry, technology, the professions, agriculture, the arts,education, government, military or other worthy endeavors thatform a record of impressive accomplishment.Service to Society: The recipient exhibits integrity and ademonstrated commitment to service through an interest inbettering the lives of others through volunteer efforts.Nominations must contain the following:1. Letter of nomination written by the nominator (two A4 page)2. Current biography or curriculum vitae for the nominee (two A4page)TERMS AND CONDITIONSELIGIBILITYNominees must have completed a regular course of study at anyone or more of the following levels: senior secondary(Intermediate, Pre-University, CBSE, ISC, IB), vocational,undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral.SELECTION CRITERIANominees must be accomplished in any of the distinct areas asoutlined below:Professional Achievement and Career Distinction: The nomineeattained prominence through his or her efforts in commerce,1. To acknowledge and promote student academic excellence,2. To give students recognition that feeds into their curriculumvitae and future careers, and3. To make students visible to the academic community therebyupgrading standards of excellence and achievement.NominationsThe award will be given to the students nominated by heads ofinstitutions / departments, or faculty as attaining the highest gradepoint average or marks in any field of study at post secondarylevel. The awards are certificates suitable for framing.The nominations should be sent by e-mail to indus@indus.org.Student’s full name and the specific field of study along with abrief description of the student in about one A4 page should begiven. Not more than one nomination can be made in each specificfield of study per institution.TERMS AND CONDITIONS1.
