NEWS FROM THE LIBRARYBOOK WEEKIt’s BOOK WEEK and the children (and teachers) are all very excited about ‘DRESS UP’ dayTOMORROW, Thursday, 27 th August. Come to school dressed as your favourite bookcharacter, book title or on the theme of Book Safari.IF you can, bring the book with you – or write the name of your book character on a piece ofpaper. It has been fabulous to see theactivity growth, teamwork and skill development. The program has now grown tosuch a level we will be entering 5 teams (at least 10% of our enrolment) in thesummer competitions which starts next week. The kids ran for a one-lap jog aroundthe school, but were too tired to do the second one! So all the children stood in frontof big equipment and did some aerobics, taught by the very talented instructor. Thesong Blame it on the Boogie was new to the dancing soundtrack and I believe the kidsprobably liked it the most! Fitness for Fruit is so exciting, even my mum joined in theaerobics. After all the kid got their piece of fruit, the bell rang and everyone went toclass.This program is proudly sponsored by the Departmentof Health and Ageing
