EuropeanCommissionInternational Cooperation under<strong>Horizon</strong> <strong>2020</strong>• International cooperation will be a cross-cutt<strong>in</strong>g issue <strong>in</strong> H<strong>2020</strong>• The approach will be similar to the current practice and may<strong>in</strong>clude a general open<strong>in</strong>g of the programme, targeted open<strong>in</strong>gs,horizontal actions on <strong>in</strong>ternational cooperation and coord<strong>in</strong>atedcalls• Collaborative actions with specific third countries or their groupswill be implemented on the basis of common <strong>in</strong>terest and mutualbenefit• Reciprocal access to third country programmes will be encouraged• Changes will be made to the ICPC list, or its concept as such,potentially exclud<strong>in</strong>g certa<strong>in</strong> middle <strong>in</strong>come countries (e.g. BRICs)from that list. This will be specified at the WP level42
